Abstract
Application of the Discovery Learning Model Assisted by the Know-Want-Learn (T-I-P) Diagram to Improve Learning Outcomes in 5th-Grade Elementary School Science. Elementary School Teacher Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) through the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by the Know-Want-Learn (T-I-P) diagram in 5th-grade elementary school students at SDN 01 Manisrejo, Madiun City. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles with eight students who had not yet met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) as participants. Data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research results show that the application of the Discovery Learning model with the aid of the T-I-P diagram can improve student learning outcomes and collaborative activities. This is evident in the increase in learning outcome scores and student activeness in learning activities from the pre-cycle to cycles I and II. The Discovery Learning model helps students actively discover and understand material concepts, while the T-I-P diagram facilitates students in organizing information they know, want to know, and have learned. Therefore, the application of this learning model is effective in improving science learning outcomes in fifth grade elementary school.
