Abstract

Kharisma Silvianingrum, 2025. The Effect of the Children's Learning In Science (CLIS) Learning Model on Mathematics Learning Outcomes Viewed from Students' Learning Interest. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, FKIP, UNIVERSITAS PGRI MADIUN, Advisors (I) Dr. Elly’s Mersina Mursidik, M.Pd. and Advisor (II) Dr. Rissa Prima Kurniawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. Learning outcomes are an important indicator of students' mastery of the material. Observations indicate that students lack understanding and focus due to the lecture method, which makes learning passive and boring. This study aims to determine the effect of the CLIS model on mathematics learning outcomes, as measured by student learning interest. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design with a posttest-only control group design. The subjects of this study were students of SDN 01 Manisrejo with class IV A as the control class and class IV B as the experimental class. The sample in this study amounted to 44 students, namely students of SDN 01 Mansirejo consisting of 22 students of class IV A and 22 students of class IV B. The sampling technique in this study used saturated sampling. The instruments used were teaching modules, tests, questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis used instrument testing, prerequisite testing and hypothesis testing. The prerequisite testing consisted of normality testing, homogeneity testing and balance testing. Hypothesis testing used Two Way ANOVA. The results of the study showed that there was a significant difference in learning outcomes between students who used the Children Learning In Science (CLIS) learning model and those who used the learning model through the lecture method. Based on the posttest results, the average experimental class was 90.90 and the control class was 63.40. Hypothesis testing was carried out using Two Way ANOVA with a significant level of 0,163 > 0,05, so there was no difference in learning outcomes between students who studied with the CLIS learning model and the lecture method. Significant 0,000 < 0,05, so there is a difference between students who had high, medium and low learning interests. F count 3,288,714 > F table 3.24 so it can be concluded that there is an interaction between the CLIS learning model and learning interests on mathematics learning outcomes. Keywords: CLIS learning model, Mathematics learning outcomes, Student learning interest. xiv
