Abstract
The ability to read comprehension is a constructive learning as an experience and can provide knowledge from the source of information, therefore the ability to read is needed to be able to understand the meaning contained in a reading that has been determined. The importance of reading ability is that by reading students are able to understand the contents of a reading that is read. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Learning Cycle 5E learning model assisted by Let's Read application media on students' reading comprehension skills in Indonesian language learning. This research uses quantitative method. The type of research is a pseudo-experiment with Posttest Only Control Group Design. This study uses test data collection techniques. The sampling technique used was purposive samling. The samples used in this study were fourth grade students of SDN Getasanyar 3 totaling 13 students as the experimental class and fourth grade students of SDN Getasanyar 1 totaling 15 students as the control class. Based on the results of the research and discussion that has been done, it shows that the Learning Cycle 5E model assisted by Let's Read Application media is effective on students' reading comprehension skills compared to the Direct Instruction model.
