Abstract

Sumaryani. 2024. The Use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach Assisted by Word Card Media to Improve Pantun Writing Skills in Fifth Grade Students at SDN 7 Ngrayun Ponorogo. Thesis. Madiun: Masters Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Postgraduate Program, PGRI Madiun University. Advisors (1) Dr. V. Dwi Setiyadi, M.M., (II) Dr. Sigid Ricahyo, S.S., M.Pd. Keywords: Pantun Writing, Contextual Approach, Word Cards This study aims to obtain a clear description of the Use of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Approach Aided by Word Card Media to Improve Skill Writing Skills in Fifth Grade Students at SDN 7 Ngrayun Ponorogo. The research method for the place is at SDN 7 Ngrayun from January to May 2024, using the Contextual Teaching and Learning( CTL) approach with the type of research is Classroom Action Research ( CAR ). The subject ot the study was grade V students Totaling 20 students. Data collection menthods were observation, field noted, test and documentation. Data analysis used comparative and test result. There is cooperation between teachers and students. Teachers have carried out learning planning coherently in accordance with learning objektives. The result of learning to read rhymes obtained by students, it can be seen that the average score on the action before the cycle is 65.1 with the percentage of classical learning completeness by 35% then increased in the first cycle to 72.3 with the percentage of classical learning completeness by 60%. In the second cycle the average score of student learning outcomes has increased again to 86.35 with the percentage of mastery learning reached 85%. Based on the data that has been obtained, it can be concluded that the use of the CTL-assisted word card approach is effectively applied in learning to read rhymes because it is proven to be able to improve student activities and poetry writing skills in fifth grade students of SDN 7 Ngrayun Ponorogo.
