Abstract

The Study was conducted because the financial literacy competence of grade 4 students of SDN 02 Taman Madiun is low. The study aims to improve financial literacy competence illustrated storybooks assisted by Gemini Storybook. The study type is classroom action research with qualitative descriptive approach conducted in two cycles. The subject of the study is the fourth grade students of SDN 02 Taman Madiun. Data were collected by conducting tests and observations, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, using Miles and Huberman model includes reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusion. The result of the study shows that the application of illustrated storybook media assisted by Gemini Storybook can improve the students’ financial literacy competence gradually. In the second cycle, most of students are categorized as good and very good, it means that the study goals indicators are successfully achieved. Thus, illustrated storybooks media assisted by Gemini Storybook is effective in improving elementary students’ financial literacy.
