Abstract
Danarrini, Pramesti. 2026. The Effectiveness of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model Assisted by Pop-Up Book Media on the IPAS Learning Interest of Grade IV Elementary School Students. Undergraduate Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model, assisted by pop-up book media, on the IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) learning interest of Grade IV students at SDN Tinap 02. The study was motivated by low student learning interest resulting from conventional and monotonous IPAS instruction. A quasi-experimental design was employed using a saturated sampling technique, involving the entire population of 19 Grade IV students at SDN Tinap 02. Students were divided into two groups: an experimental class and a control class. Data collection techniques included learning interest questionnaires, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics, specifically the Independent Sample t-test via SPSS. The results showed that the average learning interest score in the experimental class increased from 60.10 (pre-test) to 84.20 (post-test), falling into the "very high" category. Meanwhile, the control class score increased from 58.78 (pre-test) to 69.44 (post-test). The Independent Sample t-test yielded a t-value of 3.517 and a significance value of 0.003 (< 0.05); thus, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted. N-Gain score analysis revealed that the experimental class achieved a score of 0.60 (medium category), whereas the control class obtained a score of only 0.26 (low category). Based on these findings, it is concluded that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model, supported by pop-up book media, is significantly effective in enhancing the learning interest in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) among fourth-grade elementary school students.
