Abstract

This research aims to determine whether there is an influence of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model assisted by truth or dare media on the critical thinking abilities of grade 5 students at SDN Karangtengah 4 Ngawi in the 2023/2024 academic year. This type of research is quantitative research. This research method is a Quasi Experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control design type. The population in this study were all grade 5 students at SDN Karangtengah 4 Ngawi in the 2023/2024 academic year. This research took two classes as samples, namely class 5B as the experimental class and class 5A as the control class with a total of 56 students. Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques for critical thinking skills using test and documentation techniques. The results of the research show that the Two Stay Two Stary learning model assisted by Truth or Dare media has an effect on the critical thinking abilities of grade 5 students. This is proven by an increase in the average score of students who were treated using the two stay two stray learning model assisted by truth or dare media, namely : 81.57, while the average score of students who were not treated using the two stay two stray learning model assisted by truth or dare media was lower, namely: 76.00. From data analysis using hypothesis testing, in the experimental class it can be seen that the t value = 20.153. The results of this calculation are then consulted with ttable = 2,051 for a 5% with df = 27, if tcount = 20.153 > from ttable = 2,051, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) Learning Model assisted by Truth or Dare (ToD) Media on the Critical Thinking Ability of Grade 5 Students.
