Abstract
Creative thinking ability is the ability of an individual to find or generate new ideas which are then combined with previous ideas to find something that has not been thought of. Personality is a reflection of a person's self that comes from feelings, thoughts, and behavior. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. In this study, 4 grade VI students of SDN 02 Josenan Madiun City were selected with each representing the idealist, guardian, artisan, and rational personality types to be used as research subjects. The methods used in this research are questionnaires, written tests, and interviews. Personality type classification questionnaires and interviews were used to find out the personality type of each student and the selection of subjects. Written tests of creative thinking skills and interviews were used to analyze creative thinking skills based on aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration of each personality type. The results showed that subjects with the personality type (1) idealist identified in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration tend to be quite capable, less capable, capable, quite capable; (2) guardian identified in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration tend to be capable, less capable, quite capable, and capable; (3) artisan identified in the aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration tend to be quite capable.
