Abstract

Observation results at SDN 01 Kedunggalar, learning still uses conventional learning models with book media, LKS and using a whiteboard to deliver material. In the learning process, students often lose focus on the material being studied. This is caused by less interesting media, which is able to attract students to focus more on the material. This study aims to describe the Implementation of the Group Investigation Type Cooperative Learning Model Assisted by Quartet Card Media to Improve Concept Understanding in Grade IV Students, Semester II of SDN 1 Kedunggalar Ngawi in the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The study used classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of this study consisted of 20 grade IV students. Data collection techniques used observation, testing, and documentation. The procedures for this study were action plans, implementation, observation, and reflection in cycles I and II. Performance indicators used post-test results, and teacher activity observation results and student activity observation results. After the data is collected, it is then analyzed using the formative test formula, individual completeness, classical completeness, and average student learning outcomes to calculate student learning outcome data, while for the results of observations of teacher and student activities, it is calculated from how many activities are carried out. The results of data analysis from the teacher and student activity observation sheets in cycle I were 72% and 66%, while in cycle II 100% and 94%. Based on the results from cycle I to cycle II, there was an increase. Likewise, there was an increase in the percentage of student scores from the post-test meeting the KKM from cycle I to cycle II, 40%, and 80%. Based on the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the application of the Group Investigation (GI) type cooperative learning model assisted by quartet card media can improve the understanding of Mathematics concepts of Class IV Semester II Students of SD Negeri 1 Kedunggalar Ngawi in the 2023/2024 academic year.
