Abstract

Science and Natural Sciences learning in elementary schools is still not optimal in its implementation. One of the causes of low science and natural science learning outcomes is the teacher-centered learning process. In the science and natural science learning process, teachers tend to only direct students' ability to memorize information, so that students are not trained to use their reasoning power. One way for students to be able to understand the subject matter well is by using interesting learning models and media. The learning model that will be carried out by the researcher is by implementing a scramble type cooperative model assisted by prezi media. The purpose of this study is to implement a scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by prezi media to improve elementary school students' science and natural science learning outcomes. The population in this study were 19 students of grade V of SD Negeri 16/X Nipah Panjang in the 2023/2024 academic year, consisting of 14 male students and 5 female students. The approach used in this study was a qualitative and quantitative approach using a classroom action research design consisting of two cycles. This quantitative and qualitative approach was used to determine the implementation of the scramble type cooperative learning model assisted by prezi media to improve student learning outcomes. The data in this study were obtained by giving tests to student learning outcomes, the data obtained were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that, in cycle I the average student learning outcomes were 67.63 and the classical class completeness was 52.63% while in cycle II the average student learning outcomes were 83.94 and the classical class completeness was 94.73%. The completeness of student learning outcomes increased by 42.1%, this shows that the scramble type cooperative model assisted by prezi media can improve student learning outcomes.
