Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of the circ (Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition) learning model assisted by Flash card media on elementary school students' initial reading abilities. This research uses quantitative methods which relate to problems that are cause-and-effect relationships between two or more variables. Quantitative methods are used to test researchers' predetermined hypotheses and statistical tests are used to analyze data. The population of SDN Sudimoro 01 class IA students is 19 students and class IB is 18 students with a sample size of 37 students. The instrument in this research is a test question. Based on the hypothesis test, the results of the t test (independent sample test) show that the value of tcount (8.757) > ttable (2.060) and the sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. This means that the hypothesis or Ha is accepted. This means that there is an influence of the CIRC (cooperative integrated reading and composition) type cooperative learning model assisted by flashcard media on the initial reading ability of grade 1 elementary school students.
