Abstract
Self-harm is self-harm or self-harm behavior that is carried out to overcome emotional disorders. There are various terms regarding self-harm, all of these terms are the same because they are used to describe similar behavior, namely hurting or injuring oneself. If the perpetrator does self-harm and they feel satisfied after doing it. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of group counseling with Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) to reduce self-harm behavior. The research was carried out at SMPN 2 Geger. The research was carried out at SMPN 2 Geger. This research is quantitative research using pre-experimental methods. This research uses a one group pre-test and post-test design. This research uses a population, namely female students of class VII SMPN 2 Geger. The sample for this research was 6 students from classes VII-A and VII-B. In this research, a sampling technique was used, namely purposive sampling. The data collection technique used is a psychological scale in the form of a self-harm scale. Researchers used non-parametric statistical analysis methods with the Wilcoxon test to analyze the experimental results. The research results show that the value of Asymp. The sign (2 tailed) is 0.028 where 0.028 < 0.05, which means 0.028 is less than 0.05. The research results showed that group counseling with Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC) was effective in reducing students' self-harm behavior.
