Madiun: Master’s Study Program in Social Studies Education, Graduate School, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Sudarmiani, M.Pd.; (II) Dr. Yudi Hartono, M.Pd. Keywords: Selis Kangen Program, Literacy, Numeracy This study aims to improve literacy and numeracy through the Selis Kangen program at SD Negeri 04 Manisrejo. The study employs a qualitative method, specifically classroom action research conducted over two cycles. Each cycle consists of a preparation stage and an implementation stage comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection. Data collection methods included questionnaires, tests, and documentation. Descriptive qualitative analysis was used to analyze the data. The research results indicate that the Selis Kangen Program successfully improved literacy and numeracy at SD Negeri 04 Manisrejo. In this study, students became more active and confident (reaching an 80% achievement level); the utilization of library books as storytelling materials reached 85%; and writing skills improved by 82%. Literacy levels rose by 36% from the pre-cycle stage to Cycle I, and by a further 8% from Cycle I to Cycle II. Regarding numeracy skills, results increased by 36% from the pre-cycle stage to Cycle I, and by 5% from Cycle I to Cycle II. The average literacy score was 70% in Cycle I, rising to 78% during the implementation of Cycle II. Numeracy data showed an average score of 71% in Cycle I, increasing to 76% in Cycle II. Overall, combined literacy and numeracy results stood at 53% in Cycle I and rose to 61% in Cycle II.
