Abstract
This research aims to develop a learning medium based on Lectora Inspire with a self-directed learning approach to enhance the poetry writing skills of fifth-grade students at SDN Sembung Kapas Bojonegoro. The study employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, which consists of six main stages: needs analysis, product design, prototype production, material and media validation testing, revision, and limited trials. The initial stage, needs analysis, is conducted to identify learning gaps and specific student needs. Product design focuses on creating an interactive and user-friendly medium with curriculum-appropriate content. Validation by experts shows a feasibility rate of 82% for the material, 78% for the learning content, 72% for media appearance, and 80% for programming aspects, indicating the technical reliability of this medium. Revisions are made based on feedback from validation tests to improve media quality. Limited trials demonstrate that this medium is effective in enhancing students’ poetry writing skills. The study concludes that developing poetry learning media using Lectora Inspire with the self-directed learning method can be an effective and suitable tool for implementation in elementary education. The research findings contribute positively to a more independent and creative learning process, helping students develop poetry writing skills in an enjoyable and structured manner. Thus, this medium has the potential to be widely implemented in educational contexts, supporting initiatives to improve the quality of learning at the elementary school level.
