Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes in IPAS (Integrated Science) regarding the human digestive system among fifth-grade students at SDN Grobogan 02, due to teaching methods that remain teacher-centered and thelimited use of engaging learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model, supported by digital comics, on students’ IPAS learning outcomes. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method and a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The study sample consisted of 43 students, comprising 23 students in the experimental class and 20 students in the control class. Data collection techniques included tests and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through normality tests, homogeneity tests, balance tests, and hypothesis testing using an independent samples t-test. The results showed that the average posttest score for the experimental class was 86.30, higher than that of the control class at 76.25. The hypothesis test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, so H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. These findings indicate that the implementation of the NHT-type cooperative learning model aided by digital comics has a positive and significant effect on IPAS learning outcomes for the human digestive system material.
