Dewi Ma'rifatur Rofiah. 2025. Improving the Speaking Skills of 4-5 Year Old Children Through Flashcards at the Nurul Hidayah Kindergarten in Jogorogo District, Ngawi Regency. Thesis. Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Fida Chasanatun, M.Pd, (II) Alisa Alfina, M.Pd. Early Childhood Education aims to provide educational stimulation to children aged 0-6 years to support their physical and spiritual growth and development, including the development of speaking skills. Based on observations at the Nurul Hidayah Kindergarten in Jogorogo District, Ngawi Regency, it was found that the speaking skills of children aged 4-5 years are still low, characterized by unclear pronunciation and limited vocabulary. This study aims to improve children's speaking skills through flashcards using Classroom Action Research (CAR) implemented in two cycles. The research subjects were eight children, consisting of five boys and three girls. Data collection techniques included observation and documentation, as well as descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed an increase in children's speaking ability, from an average of 50% in cycle I to 87.5% in cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that flashcards are effective in improving the speaking ability of children aged 4–5 years at KB Nurul Hidayah in the 2025/2026 academic year.
