Abstract
Sumarni. 2025. The Influence of the DRTA Learning Model and Reading Interest on Fiction Reading Comprehension of Fifth Grade Students at Public Elementary Schools in Cluster 1, Kecamatan Bagor, Kabupaten Nganjuk. Thesis. Madiun: Magister Study Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Graraduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr.V.Teguh Suharto,M.Pd (II) Dr.Agung Nasrulloh Saputro,M.Pd. Keywords: DRTA, Reading Interest, Reading Comprehension, Fiction. This study investigates: (1) the effect of the DRTA learning model on fiction reading comprehension of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 1, Kecamatan Bagor, Kabupaten Nganjuk; (2) the effect of reading interest on fiction reading comprehension of these students; and (3) the interaction between the DRTA learning model and reading interest on fiction reading comprehension. A quantitative quasi-experimental method was employed in this research. The collected data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA technique. The results indicate that: (1) the DRTA learning model has a significant effect on fiction reading comprehension of fifth grade students at public elementary schools in Cluster 1, Kecamatan Bagor, Kabupaten Nganjuk; (2) reading interest significantly influences fiction reading comprehension; and (3) there is a significant interaction between the DRTA learning model and reading interest in influencing fiction reading comprehension among these students.
