Abstract
This study aims to examine the implementation process of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model and to improve the learning outcomes of Class XI AKL 1 students on the topic of Adjusting Journal Entries. The research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the model developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, which consists of four main stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The TGT learning model was chosen due to its potential to create an engaging learning environment and to increase student participation during the learning process. The results of the study show that the implementation of the TGT model significantly improves students’ learning outcomes. This is evidenced by an increase in the N-gain score from 0.32 in Cycle I to 0.68 in Cycle II. Additionally, the mastery learning percentage rose from 67% in Cycle I to 100% in Cycle II. Therefore, it can be concluded that the TGT learning model is effective in enhancing students’ understanding of the topic of Adjusting Journal Entries.
