Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of the SQ3R model supported by the Let's Read application on reading comprehension skills in Javanese language teaching. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The researcher implemented a quasi-experimental design that included a control group and an experimental group. This study was conducted at SDN 03 Nambangan Kidul, Madiun City. The researcher used saturated sampling. Class IV A served as the control group, while Class IV served as the experimental group. The data collection methods used were pretest and posttest. The researcher used normality and homogeneity tests, as well as hypothesis testing in analyzing the data. The experimental group achieved an average score of 85.26, while the control group achieved an average score of 59.91. Based on the hypothesis results, the t-test obtained was 7.36 > t-table 2.028. It can be concluded that the SQ3R model assisted by the Let's Read application has a positive influence on reading comprehension skills in Javanese language lessons. Therefore, it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected.
