Abstract
Verbal aggressive behavior is an act of attacking or hurting others using words, carried out by one individual toward another. This study aims to develop and evaluate the feasibility of a Behavior Contract program as an intervention to address verbal aggressive behavior in elementary school students. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach by adapting the Borg and Gall model simplified by Sukmadinata, this research went through three main stages: a preliminary study to identify problems at SDN Bodag 03 in Madiun Regency and review relevant theories; product development in the form of a systematic and practical Behavior Contract program guidebook, including the preparation of instruments and initial product design; and field trials involving validation by content and language experts, as well as limited and broader trials with educators and parents. The results showed that the product development process successfully produced a comprehensive guidebook, with revisions made based on feedback from validators. In terms of feasibility, expert validation (average score of 4.75), limited trials (average score of 4.6), and broader trials (average score of 4.5) consistently indicated a "Very Good" category. With an overall average score of 4.6, the Behavior Contract program guidebook is considered highly feasible for use. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Behavior Contract program developed in the form of this guidebook is proven to be a viable tool for educators and parents in addressing verbal aggressive behavior in elementary school students and is expected to serve as an alternative intervention strategy that is systematic, structured, and collaborative in fostering a more positive learning environment.
