Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of digital storytelling learning media based on Hindu-Buddhist websites on the critical thinking skills of 10th-grade students of SMAN 1 Karas, Magetan Regency. This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students and the lack of application of digital learning media in delivering Hindu-Buddhist history material in schools. The study used a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 36 10th-grade students, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through multiple-choice objective tests, unstructured interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The test instrument used was tested for validity and reliability, with 15 of the 20 items declared valid and the KR-21 reliability value at 0.89. Normality test results indicated that the pretest and posttest data were not normally distributed; therefore, the non-parametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used for hypothesis testing. The results showed an average pretest score of 49.67, increasing to 75.58 in the posttest. The Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test showed a Z-value of -5.169 with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, less than the 0.05 significance level. Therefore, H0 was rejected, and H1 was accepted. These results demonstrate that digital storytelling learning media based on Hindu-Buddhist websites has a significant effect on students' critical thinking skills in history learning
