Abstract
ABSTRACT Durotul Hasna Rofifah, 2026 "The Effect of the Project Citizen Learning Model on Learning Outcomes at MTsN 10 Magetan." Pancasila and Civic Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors (I) Drs. Budiyono, M.Si. (II) Dr. Yuni Harmawati, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study examines the Project Citizen Learning Model, a learning method that involves students in various civic projects so that they can understand societal issues and find appropriate solutions. This model encourages students to actively engage in the democratic process, ranging from identifying problems, gathering information, designing policies, to presenting the results to decision-makers. It is expected that this model can enhance students' understanding of the material on Citizens' Rights and Obligations as well as improve their cognitive learning outcomes. This study aims to determine how to implement the Project Citizen Model and to understand the extent of its influence in the learning process regarding the Rights and Duties of Citizens at MTsN 10 Magetan. The approach used is quantitative with the type of research being a quasi-experimental study. The subjects of this study consisted of 50 students divided into two groups. The first group was class VIII-1, which received the Project Citizen Model approach as the experimental treatment, totaling 25 students. The second group was class VIII-9, which acted as the control group, also totaling 25 students. The sampling technique used in this study was a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was carried out using pretest and posttest questions, which were then analyzed using paired t-tests. Research shows that using the Project Citizen learning model has a significant impact on students' cognitive understanding, especially regarding the material on the Rights and Duties of Citizens. The use of the Project Citizen learning model has a considerable effect on students' cognitive learning abilities. The average learning outcome in the experimental class was better, at 85.20, compared to the control class, which only reached 69.00. This difference indicates that the Project Citizen learning model effectively enhances students' cognitive learning outcomes. Keywords: Project Citizen, Cognitive Learning Outcomes
