Abstract
ABSTRACT Eris Dwi Purwanti. 2026. The Effectiveness of the Implementation of the SAVI (Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual) Learning Model Assisted by UTAMO Media on Science and Social Studies (IPAS) Conceptual Understanding of Fourth-Grade Elementary School Students. Undergraduate Thesis. Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (I) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd., (II) Vivi Rulviana, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study was based on the problem found in the field, namely the low level of students' understanding of IPAS concepts due to teacher-centered learning, which resulted in students being less active during the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) learning model assisted by the Ular Tangga Monopoli (UTAMO) media on the conceptual understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of fourth-grade students of SDN Jatirejo as the experimental class and fourth-grade students of SDN Ngadirejo 02 as the control class. Data were collected using an IPAS conceptual understanding test and analyzed through normality testing, homogeneity testing, and hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples t-Test. The results showed a significant difference in conceptual understanding between the experimental class and the control class. The mean score of the experimental class was 84.44, which was higher than the mean score of the control class, 79.55. Based on the results of the t-test, the significance value obtained was 0.007 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and Hₐ was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the SAVI learning model assisted by the Ular Tangga Monopoli (UTAMO) media is effective in improving the IPAS conceptual understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students on the topic of motion and force.
