Abstract
ABSTRACT Awalulhikmah, Riska. 2026. Development of Ekanaru Learning Media Based on the Jimdo Website Through the Problem-Based Learning Model to Improve the Writing Skills of Fifth-Grade Elementary School Students. Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education, FKIP, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisor (I): Dr. Heny Kusuma Widyaningrum, M.Pd.; Supervisor (II): Dr. Nur Samsiyah, S.Pd.SD., M.Pd. This study aimed to describe the development process and determine the feasibility of the Ekanaru learning media based on the Jimdo website and integrated with the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model for teaching explanatory text writing skills to fifth-grade students at SDN Sugihwaras 1, Magetan Regency. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research participants consisted of 13 fifth-grade students. Product validation involved one media expert and one subject matter and language expert. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation and were analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques in the form of percentage analysis. The developed learning media integrated the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model into the Jimdo website platform. The validation results showed an average feasibility score of 84.14%, which was categorized as highly feasible. Teacher responses reached 90%, while student responses reached 88.46%, both classified as very good. The evaluation results indicated that students were able to compose explanatory texts using appropriate text structures and achieved satisfactory learning outcomes. Therefore, the Ekanaru learning media based on the Jimdo website and integrated with the Problem Based Learning model is feasible for supporting explanatory text writing instruction for fifth-grade elementary school students.
