Abstract
This study was motivated by the low science and social studies learning outcomes of elementary school students caused by the dominant use of lecture methods and the lack of attractive learning media. These conditions made students less actively involved and less able to understand the learning material. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Read Answer Discuss Explain Create (RADEC) learning model assisted by diorama media on elementary school students’ science and social studies learning outcomes. This study employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a control group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of all third-grade students of SDN Jiwan 01, Madiun Regency, in the 2025/2026 academic year. The sample consisted of 42 students divided into an experimental class and a control class. Data were collected using pretest and posttest instruments in the form of multiple-choice questions that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques using IBM SPSS version 25. The results showed that the average posttest score of experimental class was 88.68, which was higher than the control class score of 68.67. The hypothesis test obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the RADEC learning model assisted by diorama media significantly affected elementary school students’ science and social studes learning outcomes.
