Abstract

Rosyana Purwono (2026). The Influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model Assisted by Wordwall Media on Indonesian Language Learning Outcomes of Third-Grade Students at SDN Balongbesuk. Undergraduate Thesis, Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors: (I) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd., (II) Vivi Rulviana, S.Pd., M.Pd. This research is motivated by the low Indonesian language learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Balongbesuk, particularly in the topic of verb types. The primary issues identified were students' difficulties in distinguishing between various verb types (base, derived, transitive, intransitive, active, and passive) and the continued use of conventional teaching methods. This study aims to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Wordwall media on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Balongbesuk. The research method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the nonequivalent posttest-only control group design. The research sample consisted of 20 students divided into two groups: the experimental class (SDN Balongbesuk A) using the PBL model assisted by Wordwall, and the control class (SDN Balongbesuk B) using the Discovery Learning model. The data collection instrument was a validated 10-item essay test. Data analysis techniques utilized the Independent Samples t-test. The results showed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of the experimental group and the control group. The average posttest score for the experimental class reached 86.4, while the control class scored 66.9. Based on the t-test, a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 (< 0.05) was obtained, leading to the acceptance of the hypothesis. This proves that the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by Wordwall media has a positive and significant influence on improving the Indonesian language learning outcomes of third-grade students at SDN Balongbesuk.
