Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation process of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model assisted by Canva, and to measure its effectiveness in improving student motivation and learning outcomes in Economics for Grade XII-8 students. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and Taggart model, conducted in two cycles at SMA Negeri 4 Madiun. Learning outcomes were assessed through a combination of cognitive and performance scores, while motivation was measured via observation of student behaviors including attention, participation, initiative, perseverance, and self-confidence aligned with the TSTS syntax. The success criterion was set at a minimum of 85% classical mastery. Initial observations revealed a gap: student motivation was relatively low (47%), and classical mastery reached only 53%. Following corrective actions, the average teacher activity score in Cycle II reached 3.67 on a 4-point scale, surpassing the minimum criterion of 3.5. This improvement positively influenced student motivation, with the percentage of students achieving at least a “Fair” level of motivation reaching 86.11% in Cycle II, exceeding the 85% benchmark. Classical learning outcomes also showed significant improvement, rising from 53% in the Pre-Cycle to 86% in Cycle II. The findings demonstrate that the application of the TSTS model assisted by Canva is effective in enhancing the learning process, student motivation, and overall learning outcomes.
