Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of the Value Clarification Technique (VCT) learning model on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in SDN Patihan. The background of this study is based on the importance of implementing learning models that can develop learning outcomes and understanding of values in students. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and a pretest posttest control group design. The subjects in this study were 15 students in grade IV A as the control class and IV B as the experimental class. Data collection techniques used documentation guidelines to obtain initial data and test question sheets as instruments to measure student learning outcomes. Data analysis was carried out through normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests to determine significant differences between the two groups. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the application of the VCT learning model on students' learning outcomes in science. The experimental results were 89.33, while the control class was 68.00. The t-test results showed a significant value of T_count 21.190 > T_table 1.761 which means there was a significant difference between the experimental class and the control class. Thus, the VCT learning model can be an effective alternative learning strategy for improving elementary school students' science learning outcomes.
