Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model, supported by Smartspins, on students' problem-solving skills in fourth-grade Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) at Pilangbango Elementary School, Madiun City. The background of this study is based on the importance of problem-solving skills in the IPAS learning process and the need to use innovative learning models and media to increase student motivation and participation. The method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, namely a posttest-only control design. The study sample consisted of two classes divided into an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through problem-solving ability tests and analyzed using statistical tests. The results showed that the use of the TSTS model, supported by Smartspins, was more effective in improving students' problem-solving skills compared to conventional learning methods. This finding supports the importance of implementing interactive media-based cooperative learning strategies in improving the quality of learning in elementary schools.
