Abstract
Language skills must be possessed by every student. One form of language skill is writing. Writing is a form of conveying thoughts and pouring imagination in the form of writing. This study aims to describe the planning, use, constraints and results of using Canva-based comic media with local wisdom as learning to write fantasy story texts. This research uses qualitative research by using descriptive method. The data of this study were obtained from informants, namely one of the teachers of SMPN 1 Jiwan and students of class VII A as many as 32 students as research subjects. The instruments in this research are informants, events, and documents. Data collection techniques in this study used observation, documentation, interviews, questionnaires. The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive qualitative data analysis which includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusions or verification. There are obstacles to internet access and mastery of Refined Spelling (EYD) experienced by students. The results of this study are that in the use of media students feel enthusiastic and there is interaction between students and students and students with teachers. The improvement in the quality of learning that collaborates with technology, namely Canva in the use of media. In addition, the achievement of learning outcomes and learning objectives that contain culturally responsive teaching, the achievement of student Learning Objective Achievement Criteria (KKTP) indicated by the average value of the results of the Learner Worksheet (LKPD) which is 91.
