Abstract

This study aims to improve students' comprehension skills on theme 1 subtheme 1 through the application of song media. This research was conducted in March-June 2024 in grade 6 of SDN 2 Ngraho in the even semester of the 2023/2024 school year. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research was conducted as an effort to overcome learning problems that occur in the classroom. This method is carried out in four stages which include planning, implementation, observation (observation), and reflection of action. The four stages are cycles that take place repeatedly and are carried out with the same steps and are focused on learning by applying song media. Based on the results of research that has been carried out during the learning process by recording things that happen, it can be concluded that learning on theme 1 subtheme 1, especially social studies subject content which was initially 40% to 55% in cycle I and to 85% in cycle II. The value of student learning outcomes that are below the KKM has decreased from 60% in the pre-cycle stage to 45% in cycle I and 15% in cycle II. From these results, most students have reached the predetermined school KKM. Thus, from the researcher's analysis, that learning by applying track media to theme 1 subtheme 1 for grade 6 students can improve students' comprehension
