Abstract

ABSTRACT Hartini Titik. 2024. Development of an E-BOOK Based on the Canva Application for Class III Theme 1 Characteristics of Living Things. Thesis. Primary School Teacher Education Study Program, FKIP, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (I) Dr. Endang Sri Maruti, M.Pd. , (II) Fida Rahmantika Hadi, S.Pd., M.Pd. This research aims to develop and evaluate E-book-based learning media using the Canva application as a thematic learning aid in class III elementary school for Theme 1 "Characteristics of Living Creatures." The main problem found at SDN Giriharjo 2 Ngrambe Ngawi is the limited variety of learning media, which causes a lack of learning effectiveness, student boredom, and low interest in learning. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation was carried out by design, material and media experts, followed by small group and field trials to measure product effectiveness. The research results show that this Canva-based E-book is very valid with a validation score of 90% for design experts, 94% for material experts and 86% for media experts. In small group and field trials, this learning media obtained scores of 95% and 94% respectively, which shows that this media is very feasible and effective to use as an alternative in learning. The use of Canva-based E-books has been proven to increase students' understanding of the material, attract interest in learning, and increase teaching efficiency. This e-book also provides flexibility in access because it can be downloaded via digital devices. Keywords: E-book, Canva, Learning Media, Class III Elementary School, ADDIE
