Abstract
This research aims to improve early childhood speaking skills at the Madiun Kids School Scholar institution . The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which follows the design of the Kemmis and MC models. Taggart. In this study, there are two cycles where each cycle includes 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research implementation time is 5 months, namely March to July 2024, while data is collected through observation, interviews and documentation. The sample used was group B students (age 5-6 years) with a total of 15 students. The results of observation of problems in the institution are related to the low level of student confidence, unstable social and emotional attitudes, fast speech, and more emphasis on physical motor aspects such as drawing and attaching. In this study, a qualitative approach and a type of classhroom action research are used.The researcher acts as an observer and the teacher as a collaborator to improve children's speaking skills. Then the results obtained from the implementation of cycle I and cycle II from data collection show that there are four out of fifteen students in group B of Cendekia Kids School Madiun Kindergarten are often involved in the learning process to optimize their speaking development. In the implementation of cycle II, it is an improvement in learning. Judging from the results of the second cycle of data collection, it shows that the speaking development of all students has increased quite significantly and optimally. So it can be concluded that the use of serial image media can improve speaking skills in group B children of Cendekia Kids School Madiun Kindergarten. From some of the evidence collected that has been discussed in this study, students' ability to speak has increased. In the learning process, teachers can use the serial image media of group B children so that they can make students active and interested in the learning taught by the teacher. The use of serial image media is expected to be one of the efforts that can improve the quality of the learning process
