Abstract

This study aims to explain the improvement of students' numeracy skills through the application of the Problem Based Learning Model assisted by E-module ethnomathematics in class IV SDN 01 Demangan. The type of research used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). In this study, the data collection techniques used are tests, observations, and documentation. This study is a classroom action research which is divided into two parts with four stages, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative data. Quantitative data is data in the form of scores or values of student learning outcomes, while qualitative data includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Qualitative data is obtained based on the results of observations of teacher and student activities during the learning process as research data. With performance indicators with an initial determination of 90%, the percentage of completeness of numeracy skills in students' mathematics learning outcomes in the pre-cycle is 53%, cycle I is 70%, and experienced a significant increase in cycle II to 94%. The results of this study are that the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by E-module ethnomathematics at SDN 01 Demangan can help students to improve their numeracy skills. Through the data that has been collected and then processed, it can be seen that there is a significant increase in numeracy skills in cycle II. Thus, problem solving carried out through the application of the Problem Based Learning model assisted by E-module ethnomathematics can be declared successful in improving numeracy skills.
