Abstract
This research aims to determine the effect of the Quantum Learning learning model assisted by Canva media on the ability to read Indonesian narrative texts in class IV students. The ability to read is a model for developing students' intellectual, social and character abilities so that it becomes an important aspect. These language skills include four aspects, namely: (1) listening; (2) speaking; (3) reading; and (4) writing. Researchers used respondents from this study totaling 50 students. The researcher used the research design used was a Quasi Experimental Design and a Posttest Only Control Design type of design. In this design there are two groups taken as samples. Class IV of SDN Jatisari 02 is a group that uses the Quantum Learning (Experiment Class) and class IV of SDN Pagotan 02 uses the Project Based Learning model and Conjunction Board Media (Control Class). Data were collected using Posttest results and analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test. The results of the research show that in the experimental class the effect on the ability to read narrative text in class IV students who were taught using the Quantum Learning learning model assisted by Canva media was 85, while in the control class assisted by Powerpoint media and conjunction boards the average score was 74. Model Quantum Learning learning assisted by Canva media is effective on the ability to read narrative texts in class IV of SDN Jatisari 02.
