Abstract

The background to this research is that in general, group B children at Dharma Wanita Kanigoro I Kindergarten have not yet demonstrated the character of independence and responsibility. One of the reasons is that teachers only use storytelling methods to increase the character of independence and responsibility in children. This research aims to (1) describe and analyze the increase in the character of independence using the Asanti Emotan model in group B children of Dharma Wanita Kanigoro I Kindergarten, (2) describe and analyze the increase in the character of responsibility using the Asanti Emotan model in group B children of Dharma Wanita Kindergarten Kanigoro I, (3) increasing the character of independence and responsibility using the Asanti Emotan model for group B children at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten Kanigoro I This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research (PTK). Classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Implementation time is October 2023 to April 2024. Data collection techniques use observation and documents. Meanwhile, data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, data withdrawal and verification The results of the research show that the character of independence and responsibility of group B children at Dharma Wanita Kanigoro I Kindergarten can be improved through the asanti emotan model. In cycle I the character of independence was 33% and in cycle II it increased to 83%. Meanwhile, responsibility in cycle I was 42% and in cycle II it was 87%. Thus, the achievement of completeness has exceeded the performance indicators reaching 80%. The Asanti Emotan model is able to improve the character of independence and responsibility in group B children of Dharma Wanita Kanigoro I Kindergarten.
