Abstract

ABSTRACT Devi Nurfitasari. 2024. Implementation of 4C Competencies (Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Collaboration, and Communication) in Indonesian Language Learning at SMKN 2 Madiun for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. Thesis. Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program, FKIP, PGRI Madiun University. Supervisor (1) Asri Musandi Waraulia, S.Pd., M.Pd (II) Muhammad Binur Huda, S.Pd., M.Pd. This research examines the implementation of 4C competencies in Indonesian language learning carried out by Indonesian language teachers at SMKN 2 Madiun. 4C competencies which include the ability to think critically (Critical Thinking), think creatively (Creative Thinking), collaboration (Collaboration), and communication (Communication) are very important to be applied in learning in order to train students to become students who are active, communicative, able to think critically, and Of course, later you can adapt to the world of work environment. This research aims to 1.) Describe whether the implementation of 4C competencies at SMKN 2 Madiun is running optimally or not. 2.) Describe what obstacles Indonesian language teachers face in implementing 4C competency-based learning. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this research were Indonesian language teachers for classes X and XI. Data collection techniques use three methods, namely interviews, observation and documentation. The validity used in this research is triagulation of sources and techniques. The data analysis technique used in this research is Miles and Huberman data analysis. The results obtained in this research include 1.) The application of 4C competencies carried out by Indonesian Language Teachers for Classes 2.) The obstacles faced by Indonesian language teachers when implementing 4C competencies in Indonesian language learning include a lack of literature or textbooks, students who lack motivation and interest in learning, passive students, and a lack of facilities and infrastructure in the classroom.
