Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the CTL model assisted by the Pancasila pocket board media on the critical thinking skills of grade III elementary school students. The method in this study uses quantitative with a Pre-experimental design of the One Group Pretest-Posttest type. The study took place at SD Negeri Gayam 1 with a sample of 20 students. The sampling technique used was the saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling is sampling based on a relatively small population of <30. Based on the analysis of the pretest data, an average value of 62.75 was obtained, while the posttest data obtained an average value of 86.75. The data analysis technique used normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The results of the hypothesis test in the form of a Paired Sample Test can be seen in the Lower and Upper columns, each with a negative value, namely Lower -25.466 while for Upper -16.534. The sig value (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05, meaning that Ha is accepted while H0 is rejected. Strengthened by the gain value of 0.5933 or 59.3%. Thus, the use of the CTL model assisted by the Pancasila pocket board media is effective for the critical thinking skills of grade III elementary school students.
