Abstract
This study aims to describe and explain (1) the skills of teachers in Indonesian language lessons using the show and tell method through mystery box media for third grade students of SD Negeri 2 Josari (2) the activeness of third grade students of SD Negeri 2 Josari in learning activities with the show and tell method through mystery box media (3) the learning outcomes of third grade students of SD Negeri 2 Josari with the application of the show and tell method through mystery box media. The type of research conducted was Classroom Action Research (PTK) using two cycles. The methods used in this research are descriptive qualitative and descriptive quantitative. The research data were obtained using observation, test and documentation techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) the teacher's skills in Indonesian language lessons using the application of the show and tell method through the mystery box media for third grade students of SD Negeri 2 Josari have increased (2) the activeness of third grade students of SD Negeri 2 Josari in learning activities with the show and tell method through the mystery box media have increased which can be seen from speaking skills both in terms of language and non-language which have increased from preaction to cycle I and cycle II (3) the learning outcomes of third grade students of SD Negeri 2 Josari with the application of the show and tell method through the mystery box media have been in the complete category. This proves that the show and tell method through the mystery box media can improve students' speaking skills.
