Abstract
The aim of this research was to find out whether there was an influence of rewards and motivation on the work productivity of Generation ‘Z’ and Millennials in Madiun City. The research sample was 90 respondents. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The analytical methods used in this research were testing instrument requirements, testing analysis requirements for multiple regression, testing requirements for classical assumption regression analysis, and testing hypotheses with simultaneous tests (F-test), partial tests (T-test) using the SPSS version of the software 27. The partial results of this research show that reward (X1) has an influence towards the productivity variable (Y), as evidenced by the reward variable (X1) as evidenced by the results of the Tcount (10,958) > Ttable (1,663) with a significance < .001. Motivation (X2) has no influence towards the productivity variable (Y) as evidenced by the results of the Tcount (-.954) < Ttable (1.663) with a significance of > .342. The regression coefficient value for the reward variable (X1) has a positive value of .879. It shows that if the reward increases by 1%, then productivity will increase by .879 assuming other independent variables are considered constant. A positive sign means a unidirectional influence between the independent and the dependent variables. The regression coefficient value for the motivation variable (X2) is -.069. This value shows a negative influence (in the opposite direction) between the motivation and productivity variables. It means that if the motivation variable increases by 1%, then on the other hand the productivity variable will decrease by .069. Assuming that other variables remain constant. Simultaneously, the result was that the value of Fcount > Ftable, namely 61,194 > 3.01 with a significance value of <.001, meaning that there is an influence between reward (X1) and motivation (X2) towards productivity.
