Abstract

ABSTRACT Fadhilah. 2024. Implementation of Peer Tutoring Model Assisted by Video Learning to Enhance Motivation and Learning Outcomes in Social Studies for Sixth-Grade Students at SD Negeri 1 Mrayan, Ngrayun Subdistrict, Ponorogo Regency. Thesis. Madiun: Magister Study Program of Social Science Education, Graduate Program Pascasarjana, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Advisors Dr. Sudarmiani, M.Pd; Co-Advisor Dr. Ibadullah Malawi, M.Pd. Keywords: Peer Tutors, Video-Assisted Learning, Motivation, Learning Outcomes This study aims to enhance motivation and learning outcomes for sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Mrayan through a peer tutors model assisted by video learning. The research follows an action research design, with each cycle comprising preparation, implementation (including planning, action, observation, evaluation, and reflection), and data collection through interviews, observations, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. Qualitative descriptive analysis was used for data analysis. The results indicate that the peer tutors model, supported by video learning, effectively improves student motivation and learning outcomes. In the pre-cycle phase, student motivation, assessed through questionnaire averages, was low at 42.76. However, in Cycle I, motivation increased to 61.93% (categorized as moderate), and in Cycle II, it further improved to 82.60% (categorized as high). Learning outcomes also showed improvement: pre-cycle achievement was 44.17%, Cycle I achievement reached 67.29%, and in Cycle II, the achievement rate was 86.88%.
