Abstract

In today's digital era, the use of mobile technology has become widespread, especially Android devices, which facilitate efficient access to information and public services. Tambakboyo Village in Ngawi faces challenges in providing optimal public services because the complaints system is still manual and unresponsive, resulting in community dissatisfaction and hampering village development. To overcome this problem, this research aims to design an Android-based complaint application. This application is expected to make it easier for the community to submit complaints quickly and increase citizen participation and the efficiency of village officials in responding to reports. The development method used is Waterfall, which includes the stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. System testing was carried out using the black box method, which showed results as expected. The Android-based Community Complaints Application in Tambakboyo Ngawi Village was designed and built using the Java programming language and the CodeIgniter framework. This application serves two types of users, namely village officials as admins and the community as users. Tests show that this application is more efficient and easier to use than conventional methods, allowing residents to send complaints without having to come to the village office. Overall, this application has proven to be an effective and innovative solution for handling public complaints.
