Abstract
This research aims to determine the influence of friend conformity and self-disclosure on the self-confidence of students at VII SMPN 1 Jiwan, Madiun Regency, where there are still many students who lack self-confidence. This research method uses a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto method. The population in this study was 126 students, and the sample was 55 students by calculating using the Slovin formula. Sampling uses Nonprobability Sampling. Data analysis used IBM SPSS Statistics version 26 with the product moment correlation formula and multiple regression for two predictors. As a result of the research, it was found that the linearity test results showed that the linearity sig deviation value was 0.199 > 0.05, so it could be concluded that peer conformity and self-disclosure had a relationship, as well as the linearity test results, it could be seen that the linearity sig deviation value was 0.226 > 0.05. self-disclosure has a significant relationship. And the calculated F value is 201.215 > 3.16 and from the results of the analysis it can be concluded that H3 is accepted or there is an influence between peer conformity and self-disclosure simultaneously on self-confidence. The researcher's recommendation is that increasing self-disclosure to students will be more effective in increasing students' self-confidence. From the data that has been analyzed, it can be concluded that there is an influence of peer conformity on the self-confidence of Class VII students at SMPN 1 Jiwan Madiun Regency, there is an influence of self-disclosure on the self-confidence of Class VII students at SMPN 1 Jiwan Madiun Regency, there is an influence of peer conformity and self. disclosure on the self-confidence of class VII students at SMPN 1 Jiwan, Madiun Regency.
