Abstract
This study discusses the improvement of poetry writing skills through outdoor learning methods in class IV elementary school. The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of poetry writing skills through outdoor learning methods in class IV SD and to find out how to improve poetry writing skills through outdoor learning methods in class IV SD. Poetry writing skills in grade IV elementary school students show less than optimal results this happens because the teacher has not used varied learning methods. In addition, students' creativity is still lacking in the process of creating poetry. Therefore, the need for the right method to carry out learning. The outdoor learning method is the right learning method to use. This type of research is class action research (PTK). This class action research was carried out through four stages, namely, planning, implementation, observation or observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students of SDN Tladan 1, totaling 12 students. The results of this study indicate an increase in poetry writing skills through outdoor learning methods in grade IV. This improvement can be seen through the cycles that have been carried out. In the pre-cycle the percentage of student completeness was 16.6%. Cycle I increased to 58.3%. Cycle II increased to 83.3%.
