Keywords: narrative, comprehensive cooperative methods, and picture media This study aims to describe (1) the implementation of learning to write descriptive paragraphs using comprehensive cooperative methods with photo media for fifth-grade students of Rejoagung 3 Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency, (2) assessment of learning to write descriptive paragraphs using comprehensive cooperative methods with picture media for fifth-grade students of Rejoagung 3 Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency, (3) obstacles in learning to write descriptive paragraphs using comprehensive cooperative methods with picture media for fifth-grade students of Rejoagung 3 Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study, namely (1) the application of learning to write descriptive paragraphs using comprehensive cooperative methods with picture media for fifth grade students of Rejoagung 3 Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency has run as planned, namely enjoyable learning and taking place as expected, namely good and conducive, because the teacher uses comprehensive cooperative methods appropriately and the teacher uses language that is easy for students to understand, 2) student grades have improved. This is evidenced by the increase in student grades which shows that the grades before and after the comprehensive cooperative method is implemented are very different. Student grades when the comprehensive cooperative method has been implemented can obtain grades above the KKM or the average for Indonesian language subjects, namely 75, even student grades are classified as very satisfactory and exceed the grades before the comprehensive cooperative method was implemented, and 3) Obstacles faced by teachers in the form of inadequate facilities, such as LCD projectors are not available in all classes so it is a little difficult for teachers if they want to use learning media that requires using LCD projectors and if they want to use the learning media they have to take turns with other classes. Meanwhile, the obstacles faced by students are internal factors within the students themselves and external factors in the environment.
