Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to describe and analyze the utilization of an AnyFlip-based digital library to improve reading interest and Indonesian language learning outcomes in reading comprehension (explanatory and descriptive texts) among grade 6A students at SD Negeri Losari, Ploso, Jombang. The primary issue underlying this study was the students' low independent reading interest in conventional printed books and a pre-cycle classical learning completeness of only 33.33% (8 students) with a class average score of 68.33. The research method applied the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted over two cycles from March to June 2026, involving 24 students as the primary research subjects. Data were collected through observations, reading interest questionnaires, formative tests, and structured interviews, then analyzed using percentage descriptive statistics. The results demonstrated a highly significant improvement in each cycle of action. In Cycle I, the percentage of students categorized with "High" reading interest increased to 54.17% (13 students), and classical completeness of cognitive learning outcomes reached 58.33% (14 students) with a class average scor e of 74.38. Following reflections and action adjustments in Cycle IIby optimizing page loading speed (file image compression), enforcing strict device control classroom rules, and integrating a "Reading Challenge" program with a star sticker reward system the "High" reading interest category drastically surged to 91.67% (22 students), and classical learning completeness (scores ≥ 75) leaped to 91.67% (22 students) with a class average score of 83.96. Therefore, it can be concluded that the utilization of the interactive AnyFlip digital library, integrated with solid classroom management and reading challenge strategies, is proven to be highly effective in massively boosting both reading interest and cognitive learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning for elementary school students.
