Improving Story Writing Skills Through the Experiential Education Method with Word Cards Media for Fifth Grade Students of Rejoagung 3 Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency. Theses. Indonesian Master of Language and Literature Education Study Program, Post Graduate Program, Universitas PGRI Madiun, Advisor (I) Dr. Dwi Setiyadi,M.M.; (II) Dr. Fida Chasanatun,S.Pd.M.Pd. Keywords: writing, story, experiential education and word cards. This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of learning to write children's story through the experiential education method with word card media for fifth grade students of Rejoagung 3 State Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency and (2) student learning outcomes in learning to write children's story through the experiential education method with word card media for fifth grade students of Rejoagung 3 State Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study are (1) The application of the experiential education method with word card media was carried out well, this is known from the observation scores of activities carried out by teachers and students from cycle I to cycle II which increased. For teacher activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 75 (moderate) and increased in cycle II to 90 (high) and student activity in cycle I, the final value obtained was 70 (moderate) and increased in cycle II, namely 87.5 (high), and (2) learning outcomes in learning to write children's story through the experiential education method with word card media for class V students of Rejoagung 3 Elementary School, Ngoro District, Jombang Regency, increased after applying the experiential education method with word card media, which was marked by the percentage of learning completion in each cycle. The percentage of student completion in cycle I was 54,54% (low) and increased significantly to 81,81 % (very high) in cycle II. The average class value in cycle I was 72 (moderate) and increased to 80 (high) in cycle II.
