Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain (1) the application of the think talk write learning model assisted by image media can improve the story writing skills of grade VI students of SD Negeri Japanan 3, Mojowarno District, Jombang Regency, and (2) the learning outcomes of grade VI students of SD Negeri Japanan 3, Mojowarno District, Jombang Regency in learning to write stories using the think talk write learning model assisted by image media. This study is a classroom action research using two cycles. The results of this study are (1) the application of the think talk write learning model assisted by image media can improve teacher skills, student activities, and student skills in writing stories. The think talk write model assisted by image media can improve teacher skills, namely cycle I obtained a score of 23 with good criteria, and in cycle II obtained a score of 29 with very good criteria. The think talk write model assisted by image media can improve students' learning activities in the learning process, namely cycle I with an average score of 27.1 with good criteria, and in cycle II with an average score of 36.8 with very good criteria, and (2) Learning outcomes in cycle I obtained an average score of 66.66 and classical completeness of 35.71% with good criteria. In the implementation of cycle II actions, student learning outcomes increased with an average of 70.55 and a percentage of classical completeness of 85.18% with very good criteria.
