Abstract
Reni Puji Lestari, 2026. Improving Narrative Writing Skills Assisted by Digital Media Through the Implementation of the Team Assisted Individualization Method in Students of SDN Bendo 1 Academic Year 2025/2026. Thesis. Master's Program in Indonesian Language and Literature Education. Postgraduate School, PGRI Madiun University (UNIPMA). Keywords: Narrative Writing, Team Assisted Individualization, Digital Media This study aims to improve the quality of the learning process and students' narrative writing skills through the implementation of the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) method assisted by digital media. The TAI method is a cooperative learning model that combines individual learning with heterogeneous group work, enabling it to optimally accommodate differences in students' academic abilities. This study employed a qualitative approach using Classroom Action Research (CAR) design, conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 13 sixth-grade students consisting of 5 male and 8 female students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, narrative writing skill tests, and document analysis. The assessment of narrative writing skills covered five aspects: content relevance to the theme, inter-sentence cohesion, narrative text structure, spelling usage, and neatness of writing. The results showed significant improvement. The class average score increased from 68 in the pre-action stage to 74 in Cycle I, and reached 84 in Cycle II. The learning mastery percentage increased from 46.2% to 61.5% in Cycle I, and reached 84.6% in Cycle II, exceeding the minimum success indicator of 80%. The quality of the learning process also improved, encompassing aspects of student attention, active participation, and the implementation of learning activities. It is concluded that the implementation of the Team Assisted Individualization method assisted by digital media effectively improves both the quality of the learning process and the narrative writing skills of sixth-grade students at SDN Bendo 1.
