Abstract

Mazitoh Quznul Khotimah, 2026. Analysis of the Impact of the "Live-In" Program as a Co-curricular Implementation of Civics Education (PPKn) at SMP-K Santo Yusuf, Madiun City. Thesis. Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas PGRI Madiun. Supervisors: (1) Dra. Nuswantari, M.H. (2) Dr. Maya Kartika Sari, S.Pd., M.Pd. This study aims to analyze the impact of the Live-In Program on students' understanding of the values and concepts of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) at SMP-K Santo Yusuf, Madiun City in the 2024/2025 academic year. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research subjects were students, supported by other informants involved in the program's implementation, namely the Deputy Head of Student Affairs, PPKn Teachers, and Foster Parents. Data collection was conducted through interviews and documentation to obtain information regarding the planning, implementation, and impact of the Live In Program as a co-curricular activity in the PPKn subject. Data validity was carried out through source triangulation techniques. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive methods that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of the study indicate that the Live In Program has a positive impact on students' understanding of PPKn values and concepts. Through the experience of living with the community in the village, students have the opportunity to observe, experience, and directly apply the values of Pancasila, responsibility, mutual cooperation, social care, tolerance, responsibility, and independence in community life. These experiences help students remember the material learned in class with real conditions so that their understanding of PPKn concepts becomes deeper and more contextual. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Live In Program is an effective implementation of co-curricular activities in supporting PPKn learning. This program not only improves students' understanding of PPKn concepts and values, but also strengthens their appreciation and application in everyday life, thus contributing to the formation of students' character as responsible citizens.
